EDI at Easy Lift: Building an Inclusive and Equitable Workplace

At Easy Lift, a diverse and inclusive workplace is not just an ethical choice, but a real driver for innovation and collaboration.

Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) are at the core of our company culture, shaping our policies, our team, and the way we work together.

_____

A Workplace for Everyone

Our team includes professionals from different backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs. We are proud to have colleagues from the Dominican Republic, Tunisia, Morocco, and Senegal, as well as employees of different faiths, including Catholics, Muslims, and Jehovah’s Witnesses. This multicultural environment fosters a rich exchange of perspectives, making problem-solving more dynamic and collaboration more effective.

To ensure equal opportunities for all, we have implemented transparent hiring processes that focus solely on skills and qualifications. The introduction of anonymized resumes during the initial screening phase helps eliminate unconscious bias, and our hiring managers receive training on inclusive recruitment strategies.

_____

Supporting Employees

We recognize that work-life balance is crucial for well-being and productivity. That’s why we have introduced flexible working hours and, for specific roles, the option of remote work—especially appreciated by working mothers. Additionally, we offer kindergarten fee support as part of our corporate welfare initiatives.

_____

Respecting Traditions

At Easy Lift, inclusion means respecting individual needs and traditions. For example, during Ramadan, our Muslim employees are free to adjust their working hours or take time off based on their personal well-being.
At the same time, we believe in the power of shared moments. Our Christmas Lottery, organized annually by our Sales Director Manuela, has become a company tradition, turning supplier gifts into a way to thank our team for their hard work. We also come together for team lunches, company dinners, and even a Christmas football match, fostering connections beyond work.

_____

Commitment to Continuous Improvement

This year, we launched our first EDI training session, led by an external coach specializing in diversity and inclusion. This is just the beginning—we plan to continue these sessions in the future to keep building awareness and fostering open conversations among team members.

Additionally, every year we conduct an anonymous employee survey, followed by one-on-one discussions, to gather feedback, understand career aspirations, and identify areas for improvement.

_____

A Journey Towards Greater Inclusion

EDI is not just about policies — it’s about people. Over the years, we have seen real progress: when Easy Lift was founded in 2005, it was an all-male workplace. Today, women play key roles within our company, including our Head of Purchasing, who started as a receptionist and grew into a leadership position thanks to her skills and dedication.

We remain committed to ensuring equal opportunities for all, condemning any form of discrimination — be it cultural, gender-based, or related to sexual orientation. Our goal is simple: to create an environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
