2023 has not been an easy year. The access industry recorded a good performance overall, but it was penalized, at least in the first half of the year, by delays in the arrival of material, as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. Nonetheless, the year that is about to end will close positively for Easy Lift, even if the turnover and the number of machines produced have not recorded the same growth levels as in the previous 2 years, also due to the slowdown of some strategic markets, like the US one, held back by inflation and interest rates.
2023 was a year of consolidation, which however also saw the birth of new collaborations.
The partnership with Ahern Iberica for the Spanish market began at the beginning of the year, while the collaboration with Ahern Norway for the Norwegian market, which began at the end of 2022, has resulted in excellent sales to important rental companies, including Renta, Follo and Naboen, to whom 2 R160 will be delivered just before Christmas. The first Easy Lift tracked platforms also landed in Malta, India, Oman, and Turkey during the year, where they were exhibited at 2 trade fairs by our new dealer Ertek Cam.
Another market that opened in 2023 is that of Kazakhstan, where 3 spiders were delivered between September and December, one sold to an important shopping centre, the other 2 intended for rental. Among the very respectable sales, it is worth mentioning the 21 tracked platforms delivered to the Italian Army and the 20 tracked platforms sold to the Dutch rental company Collé Rental & Sales, which will be added to the over 50 Easy Lift spiders already present in the fleet. 2023 has shown how our platforms are particularly appreciated by rental companies around the world. In addition to the rental companies already mentioned, the Italians Loca Top and Loxam italia have renewed their trust in Easy Lift. The first one has decided to add 3 bigger spiders to the 24 small spiders already present in the fleet, and the second one has also decided to purchase for the Tuscan offices some models of Easy Lift spiders already present in the fleets of the Lazio and Campania offices. New collaborations always in the rental sector also in France, with Codiloc, in China, with Shanghai Maclift and in India, with Sendhamarai. The importance that rental has for Easy Lift also in Italy is evident from its membership of the Assodimi/Assonolo association at the beginning of the year, with its participation with an exhibition stand at the September Congress. Other important events in which Easy Lift participated directly during the year are the Apex fair in Holland and "playing at home", the unmissable Italian fair GIS Giornate Italiane del Sollevamento, where, during Italplatform awards, we had the pleasure of see our Sales and Marketing Director awarded with the Lady Award. But this award was not the only one we received during the year. At the PEM, the Awards for the Access Sector organized by the Spanish magazine Movicarga, our latest jewel, the RA53, won the award in the High Height Platforms category.
The forecasts for 2024, at least as regards the access sector, are not as rosy as they were at the beginning of this year, but we will face it with the commitment and determination that have always distinguished us and knowing that we can rely on loyal dealers and rental companies, we are confident that we can continue our growing path.
