Hence the choice of Shandong Electric Power Equipment Co. to buy the standard version with petrol engine; the tracked aerial platform R180 actually, is available as a standard with petrol engine and alternatively can be requested with diesel engine or in the fully electric version with lithium battery (BA).

The power industry in China and the rest of the world is one of the major users of tracked aerial platforms, precisely for their versatility and easy of use. Other Chinese power companies have purchased the R150 and R160 models with working heights of up to 16 m, while some have chosen models belonging to the high range of the manufacturer from Brescello, such as the R360 spider. The latter reaches a working height of up to 36 m, has a maximum horizontal outreach of 16 m and is available as an option in a hybrid version, both on tracks and on wheels.
